As if that were not enough, this year marks the 25th anniversary of the famous Monumental Nativity Scene that runs through the historic centre of the town. The Nativity Scene, made life-size by local volunteers, has become a Christmas landmark in the area and for this reason the Town Council has applied for it to be declared a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest.
A photographic exhibition in Leyva Street will retrace the history of the Bethlehem over the last 25 years.
This year, the children will also be the stars of the show, as the City Council has programmed fun activities, musical shows, theatre and games.
A large marquee will be set up in El Parque to host the children's musical Dulce Navidad on 22nd; the magic and humour show with bubbles, Magic Bubble, on 23rd; the puppet shows Caperucita Roja en Navidad and El niño al que no le gustaba la Navidad, on 27th and 29th, respectively, and the musicals El origen del hielo, a tribute to Frozen on 30th, and Vulcano kids on 2nd January. A whole calendar of activities so that we can enjoy this spectacular setting.
